'A picture's worth a thousand words' is definitely true when raising defects. Luckily for us testers, there are a whole bunch of free screen capture tools available to download on the web.

The key to these tools is how easy they are to use. If it takes just as long, let's say as - taking a screen print, editing in paint and saving, then there's no point.

My current favourite is Mozilla's Fireshot add-on. However, this is only browser based and only supports Firefox 3 and IE7.

I have put together a list of easy to use (tested by myself) capture tools that you might be useful.
